iPhone 6 Expected to Pack Larger Screen in 2014, Even Though Tim Cook Said It Won’t

Apple CEO Tim Cook recently said that there are too many trade-offs for the company to offer a larger screened iPhone. But despite comments from the firm’s CEO, Jefferies Research analyst Peter Misek still believes the iPhone 6 will have a bigger screen than the iPhone 5 and iPhone 5S.

Misek didn’t say how big the screen will be – the iPhone 5 has a 4-inch display – but other reports have suggested that Apple’s iPhone 5S may launch with a variety of screen sizes. The industry itself is certainly moving towards larger displays, so it’s not out of the question if you feel like ignoring Tim Cook’s own statement. The Galaxy S4 has a 5-inch screen, the HTC One has a 4.7-inch display and other devices, such as the Galaxy Note II, sport even bigger screens.

Still, the sweet spot for the iPhone has been the 4-inch arena and even if Apple does move to a bigger display, we imagine it won’t be as large as its competitors. Wondering what a large-screened iPhone will look like? Check out these amazing renders we published last month.
